FIF Market Data Committee

The FIF Market Data Committee includes FIF members focused on market data operations and technology development. As new issues arise, members of this committee are notified to determine their interest in joining an issue-oriented working group.

Relevant Working Groups

Members of the Market Data Committee actively participate in the following working groups:

FIF Market Data Capacity Working Group
Publishes the definitive statistics on market data capacity. Financial institutions, vendors, and originators come together to share their data and expectations for future message traffic. 

FIF Symbology Working Group
This working group reviews the implementation impact of symbology initiatives and makes recommendations on implementation. Exchange Symbology Plans and the OCC symbology Initiative are the focus of this group.

Limit Up-Limit Down
This working group will address implementation issues associated with the new “limit up-limit down” mechanism proposed by the SEC, which addresses extraordinary market volatility in the markets.
