Bloomberg Expands Cross-firm Communication on IB Chatbot

Bloomberg has expanded its Instant Bloomberg (IB) chatbot solution with an add-on service, which will allow Bloomberg Anywhere users to interact with multiple firms by bringing in-house proprietary bots to IB chat rooms.  The offering, called IB Connect: Cross-Firm Chatbots, will allow clients to build bots to automatically gather and surface insights and information from internal applications, to then be shared with other firms via IB communications. The service is aimed at allowing financial professionals to save time by interacting with their counterparties and colleagues from the front-, middle- and back-office.  The offering incorporates two-way API with Bloomberg’s NLP technology to provide the data and context to the bots’ IB chats to inform and support client discussion.
