- 24x7 Trading Working Group. The 24x7 Trading Working Group discussed recent updates from the exchanges relating to order entry, testing and data feeds. The Working Group discussed the SEC approval of price band protections, expanded TRF operating hours, tracking open issues, and key challenges faced by market participants for the December 6 live date.
- Best Execution. FIF hosted a call for the Equity Market Regulations Working Group to continue the discussion of FINRA Regulatory Notice 26-15 on modernizing FINRA’s best execution guidance. The Working Group discussed the first draft of an FIF comment letter on the Regulatory Notice.
- Front Office Committee. The Front Office Committee reviewed applicable updates and notices from the SEC, FINRA, FINRA CAT and the equity and option exchanges.
- Data & Technology Committee. The Data & Technology Committee reviewed capacity, latency and volume data for the prior month for the equity, options, currency, crypto and futures markets.
- CAT Transaction Reporting and CAT Reference Database Working Groups. FIF hosted a joint call for the CAT Transaction Reporting and CAT Reference Database Working Groups. The Working Groups reviewed the results of a survey of FIF members on CAT clock synchronization. The Working Groups discussed CAT reporting for internal crossing. The Working Groups discussed a revised draft FIF letter to CAT LLC, FINRA and FINRA CAT relating to proposed changes to the tradingSession field in connection with the planned expansion of exchange trading hours. The Working Groups discussed CAT reporting for expanded exchange trading hours.
