- Rule 605 Working Group. The Rule 605 Working Group discussed the Rule 605 Designated Participants Authorization Form introduced by FINRA on June 17. The Working Group discussed issues and questions from FIF members relating to iceberg orders, validation of Rule 605 reports, and IOC orders transmitted to an ATS. The Working Group reviewed the Rule 605 Fact Sheet prepared by FIF members.
- Residential Supervisory Locations (RSLs) Subgroup. FIF hosted a call for the Residual Supervisory Locations subgroup to discuss the FINRA requirements for RSLs and registration and inspection requirements for employees working from home.
- Front Office Committee. The Front Office Committee reviewed applicable updates and notices from the SEC, FINRA, FINRA CAT and the equity and option exchanges.
- CAT Transaction Reporting and CAT Reference Database Working Groups. This past week FIF hosted two joint calls for the CAT Transaction Reporting and CAT Reference Database Working Groups. The Working Groups discussed final edits to the FIF comment letter in response to the SEC Concept Release on CAT and Other Audit Trails and Data Sources. The Working Groups discussed a request from CAT LLC for FIF to submit recommendations relating to the tradingSession field and the reporting of derived values. The Working Groups discussed updates to documentation relating to the CAT Reference Database, CAT Transaction Reporting and CAT billing.
