- SLATE Working Group. FIF hosted two calls for the SLATE Working Group this past week. The Working Group continued the discussion of end-of-day reporting based on the last reportable event. The Working Group discussed a draft FIF letter to FINRA relating to end-of-day reporting.
- Front Office Committee; Tokenized Securities. The Front Office Committee reviewed applicable updates and notices from the SEC, FINRA, FINRA CAT and the equity and option exchanges. The FIF Committee Co-Chairs reviewed the recent rule filing by Nasdaq for tokenized securities.
- Tax Information Reporting Working Group. Representatives from Wolters Kluwer discussed questions from an FIF member relating to the use of Forms 1099-DA and 1099-B for digital asset sales.
- CAT Transaction Reporting and CAIS Working Groups. FIF hosted a joint call for the CAT Transaction Reporting and CAIS Working Groups. The Working Groups discussed the recent SEC exemptive order to reduce CAT costs, including changes to requirements relating to lifecycle linkage, re-processing of late records, the Online Targeted Query Tool, and data storage and retention. The Working Groups discussed a draft FIF comment letter relating to FINRA’s withdrawal of its cost recovery rule filing.
