- FIF CAT Monthly Update Working Group Call. The Working Group reviewed guidance and updates from the CAT Plan Participants and FINRA CAT on CAT Transaction Reporting and CAT CAIS reporting during the prior month. The Working Group reviewed the current areas of focus for FIF members and the current open issues for CAT Transaction Reporting and CAT CAIS reporting.
- FIF CAT CAIS Working Group. The CAIS Working Group reviewed the questions submitted by FIF to FINRA CAT on FINRA CAT’s recent announcement about the Full CAIS compliance date. Based on Working Group discussions, FIF submitted additional questions to FINRA CAT. The Working Group discussed a draft submission to FINRA CAT with proposed future changes to the CAIS system that would provide for the acceptance of CAIS records that have errors. The Working Group discussed draft comments to FINRA CAT relating to CAIS reporting for acquisitions.
- FIF CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group. The CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group hosted two calls this week focused on CAT reporting for non-executable RFQ responses. The Working Group discussed and revised a draft letter to the CAT Plan Participants and FINRA CAT on CAT reporting for non-executable RFQ responses. FIF provided an update on a call with FINRA relating to inquiries received by FIF members from FINRA after an industry member submits a Self-Reporting Erroneous Events form.
