- FIF CAT Tech Specs Working Group. The CAT Tech Specs Working Group reviewed draft comments and questions for FINRA CAT relating to reporting accountHolderType field in Allocation events, CAT reporting for options errors, FAQ searches, additional Phase 2d Reporting Scenarios Relating to Multi-Leg Orders, reporting accountHolderType for Relationship FDIDs, the LCE and PBG handlingInstruction values, the isoInd field, Error Code 6029, and linkage validation for Route Cancel events. On August 14, 2021, FIF submitted comments and questions to FINRA CAT relating to these issues. The Working Group discussed issues and questions from FIF members relating to route Cancel and Modification requests, purchasing ETF constituents, reporting the requestTimestamp for sponsored broker workflows, multiple accountHolderType values for a single FDID, and the 4011 Error Code (Duplicate TRF Linkage Key). The Working Group reviewed feedback from FINRA CAT relating to minQty, pairedOrderID, bond swaps negotiated through a broker’s broker, and reporting when the only change is a change in the routedOrderID.
- FIF CAT CAIS Working Group. The CAT CAIS Working Group discussed CAIS reporting for trading accounts where the customer is a broker-dealer. The Working Group reviewed new FAQs relating to non-CAT reportable activity in ended FDIDs and Global Intermediary Identification Numbers (GIINs). The Working Group continued its discussion of CAIS reporting for Authorized Traders. The Working Group reviewed the list of significant open issues on CAIS and discussed next steps.
