- FIF CAT Tech Specs Working Group. The CAT Tech Specs Working Group discussed additional guidance received from FINRA relating to OATS reporting for trades that occur after 4 pm on August 31. The Working Group discussed draft comments and questions for FINRA CAT relating to the cancelFlag for the MOOT event, repairing or correcting Phase 2c events after the Phase 2d live date, partial cancels, and reporting for the equity side of a bond swap negotiated through a broker’s broker. The Working Group discussed issues and questions from FIF Members relating to the reporting of minQty and paired buy and sell orders with different symbols.
- FIF CAT CAIS Working Group. The CAT CAIS Working Group reviewed and discussed a list of significant CAIS open issues. The Working Group discussed the reporting of CAT accountType and customerType values, including the ADVISED, AVERAGE and MARKET accountType values, reporting for prime broker scenarios, reporting for the owners of an entity and beneficiaries of a trust, and reporting for owners of an entity who also are authorized traders. The Working Group discussed additional responses from the Plan Participants relating to reporting for Relationship FDIDs and reporting for market maker accounts. The Working Group reviewed the CAT CAIS Industry Member Reporting Scenarios document for the full CAIS phase.
