- FIF CAT Tech Specs Working Group. The CAT Tech Specs Working Group discussed issues and questions raised by FIF members relating to feedback files, modifications and cancels by a trading desk after an internal route from a sales desk, infoBarrierID and the ALG handlingInstruction. The Working Group discussed FIF member comments and questions for FINRA CAT relating to the CenturyLink failover, reporting for foreign securities, Phase 2d Reporting Scenarios, reporting allocations for when-issued and when-distributed securities, IDQS opening quotes and the Phase 2d requirement to report TIDType in Allocation events. The Working Group discussed CAT Alert 2021-01 relating to the Phase 2c cutover. The Working Group discussed the exemptive request letters submitted by the Plan Participants on March 17 relating to various CAT deadlines and the extension of certain reporting obligations from Phase 2c to Phase 2d. The Working Group discussed new and updated FAQs relating to orders received prior to the date an Industry Member is required to being reporting to CAT, pre-IPO order events, NAV orders, priceType for Multi-Leg events and reporting allocations processed prior to the date an Industry Member is required to being reporting allocation data to CAT. The Working Group completed its review of the March 5 updates to the Phase 2d Reporting Scenarios. FIF submitted comments and questions to FINRA CAT on behalf of FIF members.
- FIF CAT Committee. The CAT Committee reviewed upcoming key dates for Phase 2c. The Committee discussed the current status relating to OATS retirement. The Committee discussed the Revised Funding Model published by the CAT Operating Committee on March 31. The Committee discussed current testing and support issues. The Committee discussed CAIS issues relating to reporting for authorized traders. The Committee reviewed the issue-specific FINRA CAT webinars during March and the FINRA CAT webinar schedule for April.
- FIF CAT CAIS Working Group. The CAIS Working Group reviewed the updated list of questions from the Plan Participants relating to authorized traders and discussed proposed responses. The Working Group discussed the reporting of TIDType in Phase 2d Allocation events. The Working Group reviewed the CAIS open issues list.
- FIF Data & Technology Committee. The FIF Data and Technology Committee met on March 31. During this call, Brian Faughnan of SIAC discussed the OPRA SIP Migration to NYSE Pillar Technology in a spotlight presentation.
