- FIF Regulatory Notice 19-27 - Financial Exploitation of Seniors - FIF solicited feedback on a draft of the comment letter on Reg Notice 19-27. FIF incorporated remaining feedback from our members, and submitted the Final Letter to FINRA on Tuesday, October 8.
- FIF/SIFMA/STA CAT Options Subgroup - The group reviewed current recommendations with respect to the reporting of Paired Orders to CAT, including the development of workable definitions and recommendations regarding the ultimate scope of reporting of Paired and Multi-leg Orders.
- FIF CAT Tech Spec Working Group - FIF asked for feedback on the first draft of the industry member CAT allocation scoping questions and recommendations as well as review of applicable use cases (wealth management, RVP/DVP, HIC). FIF also reviewed the Phase 2c Tech Spec publication schedule and planned feedback cycle. FIF will be holding Tech Spec Review meetings twice per week until the end of the phase 2c spec review cycle.
- FIF SEC Rule 606 Working Group - The group reviewed the first iteration of FIF's SEC Rule 606 Implementation Guide and solicited feedback on the guide's structure, usability, and content. The group also discussed remaining open questions and implementation challenges.
- FIF CAT Committee - FIF and its members dicussed their interpretation of FINRA CAT's responses to the questions asked during the FINRA CAT Industry Member Q&A session. The group covered the Phase 2c tech spec publication schedule and planned feedback cycle. FIF is also drafting a comment letter on recently the proposed amendments to the CAT NMS Plan, which will be reviewed during this Thurday's CAT Committee meeting.
