Working Group Updates (Week of 6/24/19)

- FIF CAT Working Group - FIF reviewed materials provided by the SROs (IM Tech Spec WG - June 13) and FIF's descripion of the challenges/recommendations pertaining to proposed Tech Spec updates (final CAT Tech Spec will be published today). FIF concluded the meeting with update on CAT connectivity options. Following the meeting, FIF distributed a survey eliciting feedback on questions presented by FINRA CAT. Please send FIF an email at

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you did not receive the survey. - FIF Cloud Technology Working Group - The meeting began with a spotlight presentation by Josh Blackburn from IEX Cloud who ran through ways which members can utilize cloud technology to their advantage, this was followed by an overview of a SEC notice on Safeguarding Customer Records and Information in Network Storage, and a preview of next call's topic.
- FIF CAT Tech Spec Working Group - FIF followed up on the review of cancelFlags/Timestamps on Order Fulfillment Events, Order Effective Timestamp etc.. We then continued our review of the scenerios document, beginning with section 2.6.5.
- FIF EBS Working Group - FIF reviewed SEC's request for comment on the current EBS collection process. FIF will respond to the request for comment, providing recommendations for improvements to the current EBS collection process and proposed initial recommendations for EBS retirement through CAT. - FIF Back Office Committee Meeting - Provided guidance and insight on implementation issues relating to exchange, utility, and industry initiatives as well as regulatory changes affecting securities processing and reporting. 6/18 Agenda
