Working Group Updates (Week of 11/5)

- FIF Rule 605 Subgroup - Reviewed the content of the meetings with the SEC staff and covered next steps.
- FIF CAT Tech Spec Working Group - During the kick-off meeting for the working group a number of members provided suggestions regarding how best to maximize the efficiency of this working group to 1) provide industry members with an opportunity to propose additional use cases/scenarios to be included in the scenarios portion of the spec and 2) analyze the requirements portion of the spec, elicit best practices from peer firms, and pose questions/proposed FAQs to the regulators for incorporation. On Thursday, November 15th, this working group will meet to discuss sections 2.1 and 2.2 of the scenarios portion of the tech spec.
- FIF FDID Subgroup - FIF covered a number of applicable FDID use cases, including: 1) retail scenarios, 2) institutional scenarios, 3) clearing flow, 4) and a use case on a clearing firm creating and delivering an FDID to multiple vendors. The FDID subgroup will meet on Tuesday, November 13th @ 2:00 to review the materials that will be presented to the SROs during the Wednesday, November 14th in-person meeting.
- FIF CAT Industry Testing Subgroup - The meeting focused on additional recommendations on error correction tools that industry members require to adequately perform their error correction process with the CAT T+3 error correction timeframe
