Working Group Updates (Week of 10/29)

- Phase 2c Rep Order Linkage – Prep for Nov 7 SRO Deep Dive - Prepared for an in-person meeting with the SROs on Wednesday, November 7th to address the challenges of reporting phase 2c representative order linkages to the CAT.
- FIF CAT FDID Subgroup - FIF focused on the updated meeting materials in preparation for the Nov 13th in-person meeting with the SROs on outstanding FDID issues. Of note, we worked off of the premise that account number will not be permissible as an FDID, and therefore our goal will be to outline the challenges of the current FDID construct and to request that the SROs push for standardization of FDIDs.
- CAT Industry Testing/Error Correction Subgroup- Reviewed the questions posed during last call, and elicited additional recommendations to be included in the CAT test environment
- FIF Cost Basis Working Group - Updated members on any new developments in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Section 305c Adjustments and Cryptocurrency
- FIF Data & Technology Committee Meeting - This month's spotlight topic was presented by Kerry Casey and Jason Murphy of Exegy who updated us on their new market data peaks service and their new slides for our monthly decks. We followed this presentation with our monthly Market Data Capacity Reports, a summary of exchange and SIP technical notices and updates, and a review of recent or upcoming regulations that impact market data.
