OFR Repo Reporting Working Group. FIF hosted two calls this past week for the OFR Repo Reporting Working Group. During the first call, the Working Group continued its review and discussion of a draft letter to the OFR relating to reporting for bunched trades and allocations and reporting for subsidiaries. During the second call, the Working Group finalized this letter. The Working Group also discussed issues and questions from FIF members relating to the OFR FAQs, reporting the rate field and reporting for a U.S. branch of a foreign bank. Societe Generale and Tradefeedr have entered into a new partnership to expand FX transaction cost analysis (TCA) capabilities for mutual clients. According to a story in The Trade news, the integration will see Societe Generale’s algos featured in Tradefeedr’s Pre-trade Algo Forecasting offering. The service gives color on expected algo behaviors and recommends the optimal strategy based on the conditions and characteristics of an order. Societe Generale will also be able to offer its clients access to Tradefeedr trading analysis via an API.

Northern Trust has announced the formal launch of The Northern Trust Carbon Ecosystem™ with the first live transactions on the blockchain-based platform which enables institutional buyers to digitally access carbon credits from leading project developers. The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation has agreed to acquire Archer Holdco, a technology-enabled service provider of managed account solutions to the asset and wealth management industry. According to a story in Traders Magazine, the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed. StoneX has moved to increase its remit and geographical reach through the acquisition of fixed income broker Octo Finances SA. according to a story in The Trade news. The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval and closing conditions. StoneX will acquire 100% of Octo Finances SA shares once complete. OTC Markets Group Inc.  the operator of regulated financial markets for over 12,000 U.S. and global securities, announced the official launch of OTC Overnight. A select group of active securities are now available for trading Sunday through Thursday between 8 PM and 4 AM Eastern Time. Cboe Global Markets is due to complete the last of the migrations from its recent acquisitions to a common technology platform in the first quarter of 2025, which chief executive Fredric Tomczyk said will unleash growth. A story in Traders Magazine noted that Tomczyk is approaching the one-year anniversary of his appointment as chief executive.
