On September 6, FIF submitted letters to (i) the CAT Plan Participants and FINRA CAT, and (ii) the SEC on CAT reporting for non-executable RFQ responses. FIF would like to thank the members of the FIF CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group for their contributions in the drafting of these letters.

On September 7, FIF submitted a letter to FINRA on the recent FINRA rule change that will require firms to publish reports on routing practices for OTC equities. FIF would like to thank the members of the FIF Rule 606 Working Group for their contributions in the drafting of this letter.

FIF Rule 606 Working Group. The Rule 606 Working Group continued the review and discussion of the SEC’s recent approval of the FINRA rule filing to require Rule 606(a)-type reporting for OTC equities. The Working Group discussed issues and questions from FIF members relating to the new rule.
