The FIF Data and Technology Committee will meet on Wednesday April 27 at 10am ET to review capacity, latency and volume data for the prior month for the equity, options, currency, crypto and futures markets. On April 18, 2022, FIF sent a survey to the members of the FIF CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group. The survey requests that FIF members update the projected annual per employee costs for implementing CAT reporting for verbal quotes. FIF requests that members respond to the survey by Monday May 2, 2022.

Cboe Global Markets, Inc. announced the planned launch of new equity index futures and options products for trading on Cboe Europe Derivatives (CEDX), its Amsterdam-based equity derivatives exchange. Futures and options will be launched on four additional Cboe Europe single country index benchmarks: the Cboe Italy 40, Cboe Norway 25, Cboe Spain 35 and Cboe Sweden 30. Bloomberg and MSCI announced the launch of the first indices in their joint Climate Benchmark offering with the Bloomberg MSCI Global, Euro and US Corporate Paris-Aligned Indices. BNP Paribas has made its first investment into global investment platform, Anthemis, as it looks to strengthen its focus on FinTechs. According to a story in The Trade news, the Global Markets Strategic Investments unit, which invests in high-growth FinTech companies, is being used to make the investment. The move by BNP Paribas is part of the bank’s strategy to partner with technology companies to improve its value chain and the services the bank provides to clients.
