FIF has scheduled the next call for the Equity Market Regulations Working Group for Tuesday September 15 at 1 pm ET. The Working Group will discuss a revised draft FIF comment letter in response to FINRA Regulatory Notice 26-15 on modernizing FINRA’s best execution guidance.

The TRACE Working Group will have its next call on Tuesday September 15 at 3 pm ET. The Working Group will discuss FINRA Regulatory Notice 26-16 on expansion of the TRACE Affiliate – Principal Transaction Indicator.

The next call for the Rule 605 Working Group will be on Wednesday September 16 at 11 am ET. The Working Group will continue its discussion of issues and questions from FIF members relating to the recently-implemented amendments to Rule 605.

FIF has scheduled a joint call for the CAT Transaction Reporting and CAT Reference Database Working Groups for Wednesday September 16 at 2 pm ET. The Working Groups will discuss a draft FIF letter to the regulators relating to the validation of CAT symbols for expanded exchange trading hours, representative order linkage, timestamp granularity and clock synchronization.

FIF has scheduled the next call for the Tax Information Reporting Working Group for Thursday September 24 at 3 pm ET. Representatives from Wolters Kluwer will discuss best practices and concerns related to basis and other information for transferred securities.

According to The TRADE News, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) and Nasdaq Dubai have joined the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to set up a strategic working group. The group is specifically aimed at strengthening financial market connectivity between Hong Kong and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Bonnie Y Chan, chief executive of HKEX said: “Global capital flows are increasingly being shaped by the growing economic ties between Asia and the Middle East."
