Panelists Announced - FIF Chicago Event

FIF is excited to announce our annual Chicago event, sponsored by Cboe Global Markets. After opening remarks from Keith Petersen, VP of Market Data, there will be an equities panel and an options/futures panel. The equities panel will focus on topics such as Rule 611, Rule 605, CAT and overnight trading. The options/futures panel will focus on potential topics such as: extended hours trading in options, single stock futures, prediction markets, OPRA dynamic rebalance symbol distribution, crypto options and binary options. The equities panel will be moderated by Tom Jordan of Jordan & Jordan and will include panelists: Gregg Berman of Citadel Securities, Tom Hochleutner of Clear Street and Barry Metzger of DriveWealth. The options/futures panel will be moderated by Derek Lacarrubba of DASH Financial and will include panelists: Mark Lanctot of Robinhood, Ben Londergan of Simplex Trading and a Cboe Panelist to be named soon. The event will take place on Tuesday October 6th at Cboe's offices at 433 West Van Buren Street, Chicago, IL 60607. Registration in the lobby begins at 2pm CT, the speaking engagement will be from 3-4:30pm CT with refreshments and networking afterwards from 4:30-6pm CT. Regulatory Implementations Calendar

FIF has scheduled a joint call for the SEC FINRA Regulations Working Group and the Compliance and Surveillance Working Group for Monday September 14 at 2 pm ET. The Workings Groups will review an updated Regulatory Implementations Presentation and Calendar, including updates on the following topics: expanded exchange trading hours; TRF extended hours; OTC Reporting Facility transition to Native FIX; Short Interest Reporting; CAT; extended options trading hours; Cboe Binary KPI Options; MEMX Securities Event Contracts; Nasdaq Phlx Bitcoin Index Options; Treasury clearing; expansion of the TRACE affiliate indicator; CME Securities Futures Products; and Regulation Crypto Assets.

Back Office Committee

The Back Office Committee will have its next call on Tuesday September 15 at 11 am ET to review applicable FICC, DTC, NSCC, SEC, MSRB, OCC and FINRA updates during the past month. The spotlight presenter will be Sheila Zak of the Options Clearing Corporation, who will discuss Ovation Updates and Upcoming Testing.

FINRA Best Execution Regulatory Notice

FIF has scheduled the next call for the Equity Market Regulations Working Group for Tuesday September 15 at 1 pm ET. The Working Group will discuss a revised draft FIF comment letter in response to FINRA Regulatory Notice 26-15 on modernizing FINRA’s best execution guidance.
