According to The TRADE News, Marex has completed its acquisition of fixed income market maker Valcourt, more than six months after the deal was initially announced. Marex entered an agreement to acquire the Geneva-based firm in October 2025, with the aim of bringing the Swiss institutional community into its distribution offering. The move is set to enhance Marex’s current fixed income business, expanding its client suite and adding new capabilities to its platform.   

According to Bloomberg News, Clear Street is partnering with Kalshi Inc. to give its clients access to event bets, as the fast-growing prediction markets industry seeks to increase its appeal to Wall Street. Clear Street’s futures commission merchant will join Kalshi’s exchange and clearing house. The broker will also launch swap capabilities for exchange-traded fund issuers tied to prediction markets.

FIF has scheduled three joint calls for the CAT Transaction Reporting and CAT Reference Database Working Groups for this week. The first call will be on Tuesday April 28 at 1 pm ET and will focus on the sections of the CAT Concept Release relating to the Content and Scope of CAT Transaction Reporting. The Working Group will continue its discussion of a letter to the SEC with questions and comments on the Rule 605 FAQs. The Working Group will also discuss Rule 605 reporting for limit up-limit down scenarios and a draft Rule 605 Fact Sheet prepared by FIF members.
