CAT Monthly Update Working Group Call

The CAT Monthly Update Working Group will meet on Thursday June 2 at 2 pm ET to review guidance and updates from the SROs and FINRA CAT on CAT transaction reporting and CAT CAIS reporting during the prior month. The Working Group also will review the current areas of focus for FIF members and the current open issues for CAT transaction reporting and CAT CAIS reporting.

Additional CAT CAIS Working Group Call

FIF has scheduled an additional CAT CAIS Working Group call for this week for Monday May 23, 2022 at 11 am ET. This call is in addition to the regularly-scheduled CAIS Working Group call on Wednesday. The CAIS Working Group will not have a call on Friday May 27 because of the holiday weekend.

TRACE/Fixed Income Working Group

The FIF TRACE/Fixed Income Working Group will meet on Monday May 23, 2022 at 2 pm ET to discuss the recent FINRA rule filing with the SEC to expand TRACE reporting to cover transactions in US dollar denominated foreign sovereign bonds. The Working Group also will continue its discussion of implementation issues relating to the Federal Reserve Board rule to expand TRACE reporting in US Treasuries to include certain depository institutions.

The FIF Front Office Committee will meet on Tuesday May 24, 2022 at 11 am ET to review applicable updates and notices from the SEC, FINRA, FINRA CAT and the equity and option exchanges.

Spotlight Presentation on T+1 Settlement

On Tuesday May 24, 2022 at 2 pm ET, attorneys from the Willkie Farr law firm will review the SEC’s T+1 rule proposal and discuss material issues raised by certain market participants in their comment letters on the rule proposal. FIF has invited the members of the FIF Back Office Committee and the Compliance Working Group to the call.
