FIF TRACE Working Group

The next call for the TRACE Working Group will be on Monday April 29 at 1 pm ET. The Working Group will review the April 22 SEC Order requesting additional comments in response to the January 11, 2024 FINRA rule filing (SR-FINRA-2024-004) to reduce to one minute the TRACE reporting timeframe for securities that are currently subject to a 15-minute reporting timeframe. The Working Group will also review the SEC Order requesting additional comments in response to the January 12, 2024 MSRB rule filing (SR-MSRB-2024-01) to reduce the reporting timeframe for municipal bonds from 15 minutes to one minute.

Rule 606 Working Group; FINRA Rule 6151 Implementation

FIF has scheduled the next call for the Rule 606 Working Group for Tuesday April 30 at 12 pm ET. The Working Group will review a draft follow-up letter to FINRA relating to the implementation of FINRA Rule 6151 (centralized reporting of Rule 606(a) reports to FINRA). The Working Group will also discuss issues and questions from FIF members relating to Rule 606.

Rule 605 Working Group

FIF has scheduled the next call for the Rule 605 Working Group for Tuesday April 30 at 3 pm ET. The Working Group will continue its review and discussion of the changes to Rule 605 that the SEC adopted on March 6. The Working Group will review and discuss a draft FIF comment letter to the SEC relating to implementation of the changes to Rule 605.
