Digital Asset Securities Working Group

The next call for the Digital Asset Securities Working Group will be on Tuesday February 3 at 2 pm ET.  James Dowd, the CEO of North Capital, will discuss the recent collaboration between North Capital and tZero to integrate their respective ATSs. The Working Group will also discuss the SEC’s recent FAQs relating to ATSs trading crypto asset securities and the recent Statement of the SEC’s Division of Trading and Markets on the Custody of Crypto Asset Securities by Broker-Dealers, and will continue the discussion of the SEC no-action letter to DTC relating to the DTCC Tokenization Services. The Back Office Committee will have its next call on Tuesday January 20 at 11 am ET to review applicable FICC, DTC, NSCC, SEC, MSRB, OCC, IRS and FINRA updates during the past month.

SIP and TRF Fractional Shares

FIF has scheduled a call for the TRF / ORF Working Group for Tuesday January 20 at 1 pm ET. The Working Group will discuss implementation of the upcoming changes (scheduled for February 23, 2026) to require the reporting of fractional shares to the TRFs and the dissemination of fractional shares by the SIPs.
