TRACE and RTRS One Minute Reporting

The next call for the TRACE Working Group will be on Thursday October 17 at 2 pm ET. The Working Group will continue its discussion of the recent approvals by the SEC of the FINRA and MSRB rule filings that provide for one-minute reporting to TRACE and RTRS, subject to exceptions for manual activity and firms with limited trading activity.

Tax Information Reporting Working Group

The next call for the Tax Information Reporting Working Group will be on Wednesday October 30 at 3 pm ET. Stevie Conlon, Anna Vayser and Robert Schwaba from Wolters Kluwer will discuss key differences between digital asset and securities broker tax reporting.

FIF Chicago Event

FIF is excited to announce our annual Chicago event, sponsored by Cboe Global Markets. After opening remarks from Kevin Carrai of Cboe Global Markets, there will be two panels, one focusing on options trading and market developments and the other focusing on managing technology risk. For the options trading and market developments panel, the moderator will be Mark Davies of S3 and the panelists will be Angelo Evangelou of Cboe Global Markets, Ben Londergan of Simplex Trading and Brian McLaughlin of IPC. The managing technology risk panel will be moderated by Tom Jordan of Jordan & Jordan with the panelists being Chris Boldt of Interactive Brokers, Jim Dolan of Kezar Trading, Tim Sargent of CalcGuard Technologies and Jeff Wells of Cboe Global Markets. Registration in the lobby begins at 2 pm CT. The speaking engagement will be from 3-4:30 pm CT, with refreshments and networking afterwards from 4:30-6 pm CT. OFR Repo Reporting Working Group

FIF has scheduled the next call for the OFR Repo Reporting Working Group for Monday September 30 at 11 am ET. The Working Group will review a draft FIF letter to the Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Research relating to the reporting of non-centrally cleared bilateral repos. The Working Group will also continue its review of a draft summary of issues previously discussed by the FIF Working Group.
