The Working Group will review and discuss updated documentation and guidance from FINRA relating to FINRA Rule 6151 (centralized reporting of Rule 606(a) reports). The Working Group will also discuss a draft FIF letter to FINRA relating to the required time periods for providing data pursuant to SEC Rule 606(b)(3).

FIF has scheduled a call for the OFR Repo Reporting Working Group for Thursday May 30 at 1 pm ET. The agenda for the call will be to continue the review and discussion of the documentation published by the Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Research (OFR) relating to reporting for repos that are executed bilaterally and not centrally-cleared (NCCBR repos). Time permitting, the Working Group will also review a draft letter to the OFR requesting guidance on various implementation questions and issues.

The Working Group will continue its review and discussion of a draft FIF letter to the SEC requesting guidance on the implementation of SEC Rule 13f-2 on Short Position and Short Activity Reporting. The Working Group will also discuss issues and questions from FIF members relating to the implementation of Rule 13f-2.

Ignacio Sandoval of the Orrick law firm will complete his review of the FINRA rule filing for the SLATE reporting system.
