FIF Year-End Event at Société Générale

FIF is excited to announce our 2023 year-end event, sponsored by Société Générale. After opening remarks from Greg Zielinski, the Chief Operating Officer of Société Générale Americas, there will be two panels. One panel will focus on technology, specifically trading and market data in the cloud and hybrid; the other panel will focus on implementation challenges of new regulations in 2024 and beyond. FIF Advisory Chair, Tom Jordan, will moderate both panels. The participants for the technology panel will be Brian Pomraning of Exegy, Anand Pradhan of the NYSE, and Prerak Sanghvi of Clear Street. The participants for the regulatory implementation panel will be Mark Davies of S3, Michael Lurie of UBS, Judy McDonald of Susquehanna Investment Group, and a representative from Société Générale. After the second panel, Rob Wallos of Kyndryl will provide an update on technology implementation, including the growth in options quote and trade volume and the expansion of the lines for OPRA. The event will take place on December 5 at Société Générale’s offices at 245 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10167. Registration in the lobby and networking begins at 3 pm ET. CAT Working Group Calls for this Week

Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, FIF has rescheduled this week’s CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group call to Monday November 20 at 2:30 pm ET and is cancelling the CAIS Working Group call for this week.

Front Office Committee

The Front Office Committee will have its next call on Tuesday November 21 at 11 am ET to review applicable updates and notices from the SEC, FINRA, FINRA CAT and the equity and option exchanges.

Tax Information Reporting Working Group

FIF has scheduled the next call for the FIF Tax Information Reporting Working Group for Tuesday November 28 at 3 pm ET. Stevie Conlon of Wolters Kluwer will discuss the recent IRS regulations for crypto. FIF also has invited the members of the FIF Crypto, Digital Assets and Blockchain Working Group to participate on this call.
