CAT Transaction Reporting: CAT Reporting for RFQ Responses

FIF has scheduled an additional call this week for the CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group to continue the review of draft submissions to the SEC, the CAT Plan Participants and FINRA CAT of CAT reporting for RFQ responses. This call is scheduled for Tuesday May 16 at 3 pm ET.

SEC Cyber, Reg SCI and Reg S-P Rule Proposals

FIF has scheduled a call for Thursday May 18 at 11 am ET to review and discuss the first draft of an FIF comment letter on the SEC’s recent cybersecurity, Reg SCI and Reg S-P rule proposals. FIF has invited members of the following Working Groups to participate on this call: the Compliance and Surveillance Working Group; the Cybersecurity Working Group; and the newly-formed SEC Cyber, Reg SCI and Reg S-P Working Group. Tax Information Reporting Working Group

The next call for the FIF Tax Information Reporting Working Group will be on Thursday May 18 at 3 pm ET. Stevie Conlon and other representatives from Wolters Kluwer will present on proposed regulations for crypto tax reporting.

CAT Transaction Reporting Survey Requests to FIF Members

On Friday April 28, FIF sent out two survey requests to FIF members relating to CAT Transaction Reporting: the first survey request relates to a Plan Participant proposal for scheduled linkage in the CAT production mirror environment; the second survey request relates to QA reviews of CAT events. FIF has requested that FIF members respond to the survey requests by Monday May 15 (end-of-day today). All survey responses will be anonymized.

FIF Webinar: Potential Impact of Government Debt Default on Operations and Systems

On Thursday, May 11th at 11am ET, FIF will be holding a webinar on the operational and system impacts of a possible government debt default. The webinar will be moderated by FIF Advisory Chair, Tom Jordan and he will be joined by a panel of industry experts.
