FIF has scheduled a call for the ATS Working Group for Tuesday May 7 at 11 am ET. The agenda for the call will be to review questions from an FIF member relating to Form ATS-R. This will be a half-hour call.

FINRA Trade Reporting Notice on Fractional Share Transactions

FIF has scheduled a call for Tuesday May 7 at 1 pm ET to review a draft FIF letter to FINRA in response to the March 22 FINRA Trade Reporting Notice on Upcoming Trade Reporting Enhancements for Fractional Share Transactions. FIF has invited the members of the Data and Technology Committee and the TRF/ORF Working Group to participate on this call.

Rule 605 Working Group

FIF has scheduled the next call for the Rule 605 Working Group for Tuesday May 7 at 3 pm ET. The Working Group will continue its review and discussion of the changes to Rule 605 that the SEC adopted on March 6. The Working Group will review and discuss a draft FIF comment letter to the SEC relating to implementation of the changes to Rule 605.

CAIS Call for Clearing Firms

At the request of FIF members, FIF has scheduled a call on CAIS reporting by firms that clear for third-party correspondent firms. FIF has scheduled the call for Wednesday May 8 at 1 pm ET. The call will focus on the CAIS reporting scenario where two clearing firms report for the same correspondent firm and there is a material inconsistency. If you would like to participate on this call, please send a note to fifinfo@fif.com. FIF will not have the regularly-scheduled CAIS Working Group call this week.

TRACE Working Group

The next call for the TRACE Working Group will be on Thursday May 9 at 1 pm ET. The Working Group will review a draft FIF comment letter on two SEC Orders: the April 22 SEC Order requesting additional comments in response to the January 11, 2024 FINRA rule filing (SR-FINRA-2024-004) to reduce to one minute the TRACE reporting timeframe for securities that are currently subject to a 15-minute reporting timeframe; and the April 22 SEC Order requesting additional comments in response to the January 12, 2024 MSRB rule filing (SR-MSRB-2024-01) to reduce the reporting timeframe for municipal bonds from 15 minutes to one minute.
