CAT and CAIS Updates

As of January 1, 2022, the CAT Committee will be renamed as the CAT Monthly Update Working Group and the CAT Tech Specs Working Group will be renamed as the CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group. This is intended to provide a clearer description of the functions of these groups. Starting in 2022, the CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group will meet on Wednesdays at 2pm ET; the Transaction Reporting Working Group will no longer meet on Mondays. The CAT Monthly Update Working Group will meet on Thursday, January 6 at 2pm ET. The CAT CAIS Working Group will continue to have its regularly scheduled calls on Wednesday and Friday each week.

FIF Securities Lending Transparency Working Group

The next meeting for the new FIF Securities Lending Transparency Working Group is scheduled for Tuesday January 4 at 2 pm ET. This Working Group will discuss and prepare a comment letter on the SEC’s November 18 rule proposal to create a new reporting system for securities lending. The reporting system, as proposed by the SEC, will apply to equities and bonds, including corporates, Treasuries, Agencies, asset and mortgage-backed securities, and municipal bonds. During January this group is scheduled to meet on Tuesdays at 2pm ET and Thursdays at 11am ET until the comment letter is completed.
