Save the Date: FIF Chicago Event

FIF is excited to announce our annual Chicago event, sponsored by Cboe Global Markets. The event will take place on October 9th at Cboe's offices at 433 West Van Buren Street, Chicago, IL 60607. Registration in the lobby begins at 2 pm CT. The panels will be from 3-4:30 pm CT with refreshments and networking afterwards from 4:30-6 pm CT. FIF would like to thank Cboe Global Markets for sponsoring and its continued partnership on this annual event. FIF will send follow-up notes when the panels and  speakers have been announced and the registration page has launched.

FIF Submits Follow-up Letter to the Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Research on Reporting of Non-Centrally Cleared Bilateral Repos (NCCBRs)

On July 17 FIF submitted a follow-up letter to the Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Research requesting clarification on various issues and questions relating to the new requirement to report repos that are executed bilaterally and not centrally-cleared. FIF would like to thank the members of the OFR Repo Reporting Working Group for their contributions in the drafting of this letter.

OFR Repo Reporting Working Group

The next call for the OFR Repo Reporting Working Group will be on Monday July 22 at 11 am ET. The Working Group will discuss issues and questions from FIF members relating to the new requirement to report repos that are executed bilaterally and not centrally-cleared. The Working Group will also discuss cross-border scenarios.

Digital Asset Securities Working Group

FIF has scheduled a call for the Digital Asset Securities Working Group for Tuesday July 23 at 10 am ET. Shawn Sloves of Fundamental Interactions will discuss current challenges for short sales for digital assets and potential approaches for addressing these challenges.
