Matt Weinberg of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) will provide an update on current threats to the financial industry. CISA is an agency of the US Department of Homeland Security. The Working Group will also review recent FINRA, NSA and FBI updates relating to cybersecurity.

FIF has scheduled the next call for the Financial Data Transparency Act Working Group for Monday September 23 at 2 pm ET. The Working Group will continue its discussion of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking published by the SEC and other financial regulators.

An FIF member would like to discuss whether FINRA could develop a technology-focused examination for technology professionals who require the Operations Professional registration as an alternative to the current Series 99 examination, which is operations focused. FIF created a sub-group for this topic and hosted a call in August. FIF has scheduled the next call for this sub-group for Thursday September 26 at 1 pm ET.
