FIF has scheduled an additional call this week for the CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group. This call will be on Thursday March 21 at 2 pm ET and will be in addition to the regularly-scheduled CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group call on Wednesday March 20 at 2 pm ET. During the Wednesday call, the Working Group will review and discuss draft FIF exemption requests relating to representative order linkage and reporting of port settings. The Thursday call will focus on other issues, including CAT billing, CAT reporting for RFQ responses that are not immediately actionable, reporting of handling instructions for auctions, and issues and questions from FIF members.

The Data and Technology Committee will have its next call on Wednesday March 27 at 10 am ET to review capacity, latency and volume data for the prior month for the equity, options, currency, crypto and futures markets. The spotlight presenter will be Geralyn Endo of MEMX, who will provide an update on the launch of the MEMX Options Exchange.

On March 4, FIF submitted a comment letter to the SEC on CAT billing and reconciliation. FIF would like to thank the members of the FIF CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group for their contributions in the drafting of this comment letter.

FIF has scheduled a call for the FIF Rule 605 and 606 Working Groups for Monday March 11 at 2 pm ET. The Working Groups will review the changes to Rule 605 that the SEC adopted on March 6. The Working Group will also discuss FINRA Regulatory Notice 24-05, which sets a compliance date for the new requirement for FINRA members to file their quarterly Rule 606(a) reports with FINRA.   

FIF has scheduled the next call for the FIF Short Sales / Reg SHO / Short Interest Reporting Working Group for Tuesday March 12 at 3 pm ET. The Working Group will continue the discussion of issues and questions from FIF members relating to implementation of the SEC Rule on Short Position and Short Activity Reporting.
