On March 3 the SEC published an order to seek further comment on the FINRA rule proposal on disclosure of order routing information for OTC equities securities and NMS securities. FIF will schedule a call for next week for the Rule 606 Working Group to discuss, with date and time to be determined.

FIF has created a new SEC Equity Market Proposals Working Group. This Working Group will discuss the SEC’s Reg NMS and Order Competition Rule proposals. If you have previously participated on an FIF call on Reg NMS or the Order Competition Rule, and we were able to identify you from the zoom report, we have added you to this Working Group list. For this week, FIF will continue to invite members of the Front Office Committee, the Data & Tech Committee and the Compliance and Surveillance Working Group to the Reg NMS and Order Competition Rule calls. After this week, FIF will only invite members of the new SEC Equity Market Proposals Working Group to these calls. The purpose for this change is to limit the calendar invites to the people who are interested in participating on these calls. Please update your FIF profile or contact fifinfo@fif.com to be added to this new Working Group.
Please note that this change does not affect the invites for the calls to discuss the SEC’s rule proposal on Disclosure of Order Execution Information. FIF will continue to invite only members of the Rule 605 and 606 Working Groups for the calls to discuss Disclosure of Order Execution Information.
FIF also has updated the list of Working Groups on our website to remove various legacy groups.

The Front Office Committee will have its next call on Tuesday February 28 at 11 am ET to review applicable updates and notices from the SEC, FINRA, FINRA CAT and the equity and option exchanges. During the call, FIF members will discuss the breadth of the proposed tick size increment changes in the SEC’s recent Reg NMS rule proposal.
