FIF Submits Comment Letter to the Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Research on Reporting of Non-Centrally Cleared Bilateral Repos (NCCBRs)

On June 20, FIF submitted a letter to the Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Research requesting clarification on various issues and questions relating to the new requirement to report repos that are executed bilaterally and not centrally-cleared (NCCBR repos). FIF would like to thank the members of the OFR Repo Reporting Working Group for their contributions in the drafting of this comment letter.

CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group

FIF has scheduled three calls this week for the CAT Transaction Reporting Working Group. On Tuesday June 25 at 1 pm ET, the Working Group will review changes to the FIF request for exemptive relief relating to linkage of representative orders and IDQS quotes to customer orders and linkage of order fulfillments to representative and principal orders and IDQS quotes. The call will focus on the requested exemptive relief for IDQS scenarios. On Wednesday June 26 at 2 pm ET, the Working Group will discuss issues and questions from FIF members and FIF member comments and questions to submit to FINRA CAT. On Thursday June 27 at 2 pm ET, the Working Group will discuss the response letter submitted by the CAT Plan Participants on June 13 relating to the Executed Share Model.

The Data & Technology Committee will have its next call on Wednesday June 26 at 10 am ET to review capacity, latency and volume data for the prior month for the equity, options, currency, crypto and futures markets.

CAT CAIS Working Group

FIF has scheduled a call for the CAT CAIS Working Group for Wednesday June 26 at 11 am ET. FIF will provide an update on an FIF member call with the SEC relating to the future retirement of Electronic Blue Sheets (for equities and options) and broker-dealer recordkeeping requirements for large traders. The Working Group will also discuss feedback from FINRA CAT representatives during a call on June 21 and issues and questions from FIF members.
